Empowering vulnerable children: M-Kids’ “Cyber Savvy Kids” workshops promotes online safety and responsible digital behavior

M-Kids, a leading organisation dedicated to the well-being of children, successfully organised an impactful workshop titled “Cyber Savvy Kids” from the 5th to 7th May 2023 in Péreybère. The workshop aimed to educate and empower vulnerable children aged 10 to 13 in online safety, responsible digital behaviour, and time management.

With a participation of 15 children, the workshop provided a safe and stimulating environment for learning. Led by Mr Dean Chang Min, expert in technology, and Ms. Amelia Dupla, a social worker, the workshop offered activities and discussions to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills. Participants learned about online safety, digital literacy, and empowerment. They gained strategies to protect themselves online, understand privacy settings, and discern credible information.

Nature-focused activities fostered an appreciation for the natural world, and participant feedback highlighted positive outcomes. By empowering vulnerable children and promoting their overall well-being, M-Kids, in collaboration with esteemed partners such as the SBM Foundation, continues to create a safer and secure digital environment for our future generation.

M-Kids expresses its gratitude to the resource persons, team members, volunteers, and the SBM Foundation for their support.
