PRESIDENT
With several years of experience, Wasim has proven himself as a dedicated and highly capable professional accountant, particularly in his work with M-Kids.
His deep understanding of financial management has been pivotal in propelling the organisation’s success and growth. With his strong work ethic and dedication to excellence, Wasim Meethoo continues to make significant contributions to the success of M-Kids.
As the President, his goal is to usher in a new era for M-Kids Association, propelling it to greater heights and making a meaningful impact on the lives of the less fortunate.
VICE-PRESIDENT
With a BSc in Business Management and a certificate of ACCA Level 2, Tawfeeq’s educational background demonstrates his commitment to professional growth. Currently, he works as a Civil Servant at the Ministry of Education in the Department of Tertiary Education, Science & Technology.
Tawfeeq has been a member of M-Kids since 2017, bringing his unique talents to the group. He goes above and beyond as a committed volunteer, an active member, and the current Vice-President.
His passion lies in empowering young individuals, guiding them towards unlocking their potential and turning their dreams into reality.
Fueled by his empathy for underprivileged communities, he dedicates himself to the cause of M-Kids, determined to create a brighter future for the vulnerable children of Mauritius.
TREASURER
Amanullah, a budding professional, has successfully completed a bachelor’s degree in BSc in Information Systems.
Amanullah, the first child in his family to obtain a High School Certificate and a bachelor’s degree, was motivated by his father’s example of community service to get involved with M-Kids while still in high school.
Amanullah initially began his journey as Assistant Treasurer before eventually ascending to the position of President of the board in 2021. He now serves as the meticulous Treasurer of the Association.
ASSISTANT TREASURER
Since its establishment in 2002, Imteeaz, a skilled Graphic Designer, has been a valuable member of the M-Kids team.
With a strong sense of responsibility towards vulnerable children, orphans, and those from single-parent households, he dedicates his time and energy every day, teaching evening classes and providing guidance to young children.
Imteeaz is the epitome of support. You’ll never miss him at the M-Kids Learning Centre in the evenings, where he dedicates his time to serving hot meals to children and making them laugh.
Imteeaz is inspired by acts of kindness and has a strong commitment to helping others succeed. His goal is to empower underprivileged children by accompanying them on their educational journeys and helping them unlock their true potential.
The children’s faces brighten up with smiles whenever he shares his funny anecdotes.
SECRETARY
Afsheen, who graduated from Middlesex University with a law degree, has been gaining experience in the Financial Services Sector for the past 4 years. Apart from her main occupation, she finds joy in pursuing her passion for baking on a part-time basis.
In 2022, she joined the M-Kids Association, where she now serves as the Secretary.
Afsheen is known for her empathetic nature and her ability to show kindness to everyone she meets. She is determined to make a difference in the life of at least one child, one family, no matter what it takes.
Her aspiration is to take the Association to a new level by implementing a fresh mandate, all while adhering to the laws of Mauritius.
ASSISTANT SECRETARY
Madiihah is proof that the work that M-Kids has been doing in the past twenty years is subtly changing the social dynamics for vulnerable families. Raised by a single mother, Madiihah was a former beneficiary of M-Kids, and now, she is an active volunteer, teacher, and Administrative Officer in the Administration.
Madiihah, currently in her second year of the Early Childhood Education Teacher’s Certificate program at MIE, is driven by her profound enthusiasm for teaching and volunteering as she works towards obtaining full teacher certification. Her profound love for children drives her to wholeheartedly dedicate herself to positively influencing their lives.
EXECUTIVE MEMBER
Siddiqak’s dedication and commitment to M-Kids have made her a valuable member since 2011. She selflessly volunteers in the activities regularly organised by the organisation, aiming to keep young children positively engaged with the community.
Driven by a deep concern for the current generation, Siddiqak sincerely hopes that her work will contribute, even in a small way, to building a world filled with peace, success, and happiness. Her passion for making a difference in the lives of children is evident in her ongoing involvement with M-Kids and her unwavering belief in the power of community engagement.
EXECUTIVE MEMBER
Aashiyah, who recently graduated from the University of Mauritius with a Bachelor of Honours in Information Systems, began her journey with the M-Kids Association as a volunteer at the young age of 17.
In addition to her role as the Secretary of the board from 2018 to 2019, Aashiyah was also an invaluable asset to the organisation, actively participating in workshops, coordinating events, and dedicating her time to numerous volunteer projects.
In addition to her other responsibilities, she holds the position of Public Relations Officer.
EXECUTIVE MEMBER
Marie Neige, an engaged member since 2021, has consistently volunteered for various initiatives hosted by M-Kids, immersing herself in the vibrant energy of giving back to the community. Her compassion for the beneficiaries is evident as she continually seeks opportunities to guide and support them, actively contributing to the overall well-being of the children. She embraces each child with a warm and caring hug, creating a safe and nurturing environment.
Her unwavering dedication weaves together the threads of peace, prosperity, and joy, creating a beautiful tapestry of a better world.
